Whoops...I don't think 3 glasses of wine was inside the half you drink challenge this week. Little bit of a doosey!
My problem will definitely come from emotional eating (drinking), so I am looking forward to some lessons for curbing that bad habit!
But on the positive side today I still woke up at 7am and walked my dogs for half an hour. I also moved the small wall television out of my bedroom and positioned it in front of my treadmill. Which I hope will keep me on it for longer.
I also pulled all of my favorite clothes that I use to wear out of the back of my closet and hung them front and center to remind me what I am doing this for.
Enjoy your weekends,
LozzyM

Day 3
Hi all,
After a rocky start this morning and an hours slip up on my 7am out-of-bed dead line, I had a good day.
Cleaned out the kitchen- threw out rotting vegetables, high-GI sugar and snacks and filled my fridge and cupboards with real whole food I can cook. I dusted off my old CSRIO diet book and wrote my shopping list from it. My groceries cost a whopping $200! Although this is day 3 of no coffee, which means I will be saving around $50 a week. I think I will be breaking even and a lot healthier.
No headache today, yay :-)
Even got on the treadmill for 30 minutes!
As for this weeks challenge- I bought a 2L bottle of water so as I can make sure I drink the right amount everyday and tonight I will rug myself up in bed 30mins earlier.
Yours truly,

Without coffee...
Who loves their coffee?
Apparently I most certainly do. After only two days of
abstaining from caffeine I am cranky, tired and headachey.
Here are a few facts that I hunted down to keep me
motivated form The Journal of the American Dietetic Association and The
Australian Guide to Healthy Eating:
- Caffeine is the most popular and widely used drug in the world
- Use of caffeine can have a number of disturbing physical effects on some people, such as:
anxiety
irritability
increased
breathing and heart rates
restlessness,
excitability, dizziness
headaches
and lack of concentration
gastrointestinal
pains
dehydration.
·
Caffeine can readily cross the placenta and can affect foetal heart rate and
breathing.
·
Caffeine, at doses greater the 150mg/day, is associated with delayed
conception, increased risk of spontaneous abortion and low birth weight.
·
With
regular use (just 350mg/day) over time a person's body can become used to functioning with
caffeine present. They may become physically or psychologically dependent, or
both, on caffeine.
- A person who is dependent on caffeine is likely to suffer withdrawal symptoms within 24 hours of their last dose. Headache is the most common caffeine withdrawal symptom, but others include fatigue, sweating and muscle pains.
There is no safe level of drug use. Use of any drug always carries some
risk—even medications can produce unwanted side effects. It is important to be
careful when taking any type of drug.
One morning down...
I did it! It's 7am and im awake and in my walking best. Dogs are on their leads and it's not even light out!
This mornings lessons:
Wear your gym clothes to bed! When it is 10 degrees out and you think about getting naked to put on your pretty new workout gear, to go for a walk....trust me you will, more often then not, opt to stay in your warm bed. I huddled over my little electric heater, I have learned my lesson.
Take a tissue! The cold air will make your nose run and sniffing it back is not the best way to avoid a winter cold.
You will feel glad that you got out of bed (and so will your dogs).
Have a great day

In the beginning...
Hi there,
Thanks for coming to my blog. I'm very excited, today I signed up for Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation and have decided, to stay accountable, I am going to blog every day of the journey.
Who am I and why would you bother reading my blog?
My name is Loren. I am a typical, not so typical, single 27 year old female on a journey to reclaim her self esteem. Like a lot of girls I suffer with my self esteem battle everyday. I want share my fears and insecurities, pitfalls and failures in the hopes that it makes (even just one) of you feel less alone.
I hope to also share inspiration, motivation and experiences that you can learn from.
I promise to be as honest and raw as I can over the next 4 months...
in light of that (and very Bridget Jones style)...
June 19th
- 61.2kg
- weight gained this year 4-5kg
- weight gained the last 5 years 10kg
- packets of tim tams eaten after weighing myself, one
So I paid my $200 for 12WBT, booked a doctors appointment, poured my sugar stash into the bin and started this blog.
Goal this week: wake up at 7am every morning! Even though it is winter and it's cold, I will get up and walk my dogs every morning at the crack of dawn...WITHOUT CAFFEINE!
Wish me luck!
Keep Smiling until tomorrow or at least Keep calm and carry on.
Yours truly,
LozzyM
